Daring Deception by Barbara Freethy 5⭐️

Newest to my favorite Freethy series. Loved this addition, top of my favorites so far. Major mystery, drama, heartbreak and romance in this who-done-it.   We meet Quinn and Caitlyn, who’s relationship starts sweet and comes full circle, taking on serious crazy to get there. Grab this, add to your TBR list.

Hidden in the Sand by Elena Aitken 5⭐️

Wishing for a trip to the sunshine, sand and shore?  Add this book to your TBR list. The majority of this hot, steamy story takes place in Panama, can’t get much warmer than that. Here we get wrapped up in drama, back stabbing treachery, romance, steam and heartache. Making for hot romance. Add this enticing book to your vacation reads.

The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren 5⭐️

Loved this book, my favorite book so far written by these two authors.  Fell hard for these characters Fizzy, Juno, Jess and River and their quirks, love, friendship and romance make this one of my top reads this year. Grab this for your TBR list.

The SEAL’s Instant Family by Leslie North 5⭐️

Third and final in this trilogy and the best of the three. We meet Mia and Kenton, who are wound into mayhem by a trafficking ring. There is action, mystery, drama, romance, steam and an HEA. Again, overlook the title and cover. Good read

The Lost Village by Camilla Stein 5⭐️

Insanity at it’s finest. Excellent read, with an expected twist. Told in two time frames with insanity, disparity, angst, mystery, drama and a cold calculation from the past and perhaps a small amount in the present.  An interesting twisted story.

When He’s Dirty by Lisa Renee Jones 4⭐️

I enjoy this author, her drama and suspense is super interesting. What I need to remember, is she is also the queen of the cliffhanger and this book is no exception. I did not realize it was the first of a trilogy and of course the requisite cliffhanger made its appearance. Exciting, interesting read until the very incomplete end. My suggestion is to get all three books before you start.

The SEAL’s Surprise Baby by Leslie North 4⭐️

Ignore the cover and title, this is actually a pretty good read. It is typical with the requisite HEA, but includes not only the SEAL but the mob, so there is drama, mystery, angst, romance and steam. Add this to your TBR list.

Love Me Dead by Lisa Renee Jones 3⭐️

Third in this series. I have a love/dislike relationship with Agent Lilah Love and this book slides more to the “dislike” end of the spectrum.   And it ends on a stinking cliffhanger. The story and I mean the good guy/bad guy, mystery, is excellent. I find the constant tough girl complex gets old. I have not decided whether to continue the series.   Know this ends on a complete non ending.

Murder Girl by Lisa Renee Jones 5⭐️

Second in this series and a catch up to the cliffhanger in the first book. This one is full of mystery, drama, violence, and emotional surprises. Loved this book, so  much better than the first and makes you want to continue the series, reminds me of the Meli Raine books, although without the romance, there is a small amount of steam. A serious who done it. Grab this one.

Murder Notes by Lisa Renee Jones 5⭐️

Ok, can we all say “cliff hanger”?  Because this has a huge one. I do have the next in this series, so am not too upset, but wow, I would have been. I had a problem getting into the story, but once I passed the first couple of chapters, my interest peaked. This is a convoluted who done it, many paths and possible outcomes. If you have not read this, know at least one more book is a necessity and this is an intense read.
