The Night Swim by Megan Goldin 5⭐️

Podcasts. It has been a long time since I enjoyed one. This story centers around a podcast reporter, who investigates current issues and a past mystery. It is disturbing on many levels as it deals with abuse, rape and the emotional results. This was not a quick read, I found myself putting the book down with disgust, then picking it back up because the story draws you back, but it is a hard read.   Add this to your TBR list, it is sad, emotional and will make you angry at the privilege, abuse and the trial by social media.

The Sheikh’s American Lover by Leslie North 5⭐️

First in this newest series. Enjoyable read. Although I must observe, a third of Ms. North’s characters end up with their very own Sheikh, lol. No exception here, there is romance, drama, angst and steam. Add to your vacation read list, along with an adult beverage. TBR.

Notes of Love and War by Betty Bolte 5⭐️

Excellent read. This well written story flows from beginning to end.  A Baltimore family lives and survives the hardship of war, rations and shortages finding strength and love as a unit. This is much like a journal of day to day life and correspondence during a time of espionage, mayhem, violence and sabotage. My favorite Betty Bolte book so far. Add this to your TBR list.

Needing Happily Ever After by Elena Aitken 5⭐️

The relationship between two life long friends, turns into more. Nothing about this story is easy, but in the end romance and friendship changes, the challenge is can it last, moving toward a HEA. Another special story. Don’t miss this one.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Cowboy’s Pregnant Fake FiancĂ©e by May Sue Jackson/Leslie North 5⭐️

Excellent read involving an aging rodeo star and his one night stand. The townies, family and ex, with their horrible attitudes, make Marley their favorite target. The title and cover are unfortunate, but the story is interesting and of course there is the romance, steam and requisite HEA. Add to your TBR list.

The SEAL’s Pregnant Ex by Leslie North 5⭐️

Third in this SEAL series. After breaking up due to incompatible life styles, the love interests find their way back together, via their child. A quick easy read with a small amount of angst, drama, romance and steam. Add this to your relaxation list.

The Safe Place by Anna Downes 5⭐️

Heart breaking, is the only way to describe this tale of twisted melancholy.   The beautiful estate of “Querencia”, is a pearl of an oasis, but the sweet rot of deception, mental illness and twisted love, makes this a sad but exceptional read.  The direction this story takes, makes this story nteresting and sad. This is not a light, happy read, my heart hurt for those involved by the end.  Bittersweet.

Jock Blocked by Pippa Grant 5⭐️‘S

This book is a roller coaster ride!  As with all Pippa Grant books, this is hilarious, fun, romantic and there is of course steam. All these books are tied together by family and friends, so much fun!  We met  Mackenzie in an earlier book and she shines in this new book. A good laugh in these sobering times. Do not miss this one.

The Breakup Artist by Lila Monroe 5⭐️

This fourth in this series was a joy to read. We have a new author should she rekindle her romance with a previous lover? And how to help a famously popular couple decide how to handle their own relationship. A fun read. Don’t miss this one. A TBR addition, for sure.

The SEAL’s Accidental Pregnancy by Katie Knight/Leslie North 3⭐️

Ok read. Not my favorite, too much angst and drama. Ended well, as do all these books, but wow, the never ending drama, in spite of a bad guy on the move.
