From Alaska With Love by Ally James 5⭐️❣️

This is a fabulous read!  I fell for hard for the dynamic of the characters, the story is alive with family, drama, angst, and romance.   It touches on the problems of being in the military and deployment, all coming together at the end for the HEA. Make sure to put this at the very top of your TBR list.

The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart by Leslie North 4⭐️‘S

Third and last book of this series. I actually enjoyed this book best of the three. It does nave a few quirks that should have been worked out before publication. A good, easy read.

The Cowboy’s Rescue by Leslie North 4⭐️S

The second in the McCall brothers series. A person invests all her money in a strawberry farm, sight unseen, which of course, was in total disrepair. There is angst, drama, fun, romance, steam and of course an HEA.   Easy, quick read. Enjoy.

Genre: Romantic Comedy/Contemporary Romance
Audiobook Narrator: Erin Mallon
Release Date: January 28, 2020

AN ALL-NEW STANDALONE FROM NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR JULIA KENT

I’m not too proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland.

Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends.

So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?

Oh.

Oh, no.

The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.

That’s right.

Feisty.

More from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent as Fiona “Feisty” Gaskill gets her chance at love - drop-kick included.

Exerpt:
My lungs have decided that the world is too dangerous to make a move, utter a sound, do anything. I'm frozen, the pulse inside me growing stronger as time ticks away. My own shut-down system is the barrier to oxygen. The disconnect between what my body needs and what my tattered psyche can handle is causing my overload to leak out in a really obvious way.

“Fiona?” Josh says, shaking me gently, Michelle looking to him for certainty.

And then suddenly, Josh is out of my sight, replaced by two clear, calm, green eyes, light brown hair, and hands that feel like anchors.

“Feisty? Feis–Fiona?” Fletch corrects. The sudden pivot to using my proper name is jarring, given the fact that every atom in the world is buzzing inside my ears and nothing anyone does will help me to breathe.

I make a strange sound. I know it's strange because his eyebrows turn down in the middle, his facial muscles pushing them low enough to show concern.

Concern for me.

“Breathe,” he says slowly as he puts one hand on my diaphragm, fingers warm and firm.

I make a sound to indicate that I am confused and the speech centers in my brain have shut down. Empathy floods me as I realize this is exactly what my student with severe apraxia, little Myles, must feel like when he loses his words under extreme stress. For years, I've said “use your words” to four-year-olds having anxiety fits.

Never again.

“Breathe, Fiona,” he murmurs, taking a deep breath to demonstrate, his belly expanding in a comical way, though I know his technique is strong. Hypnotic and commanding, his voice and body tell me what to do, guide me back from being lost in the woods to a cleared trail where I can find my footing, take a rest, and possibly feel safe again, knowing I can find my way home.

I inhale, the insides of my nostrils cold, the air hitting my nasal passages a welcome assault, diaphragm spasming and sputtering back to life.

“That's my girl,” he whispers against the curl of my ear, his breath like coffee, his hard forearm muscles all I can see, the ripped cord of his strong lines drawing my gaze. “You just breathe. It's over now. You did it. You saved them. It's okay to breathe.” He inhales, then slowly exhales. “Let's do this together now.”

The Rancher’s inherited family by Leslie North

I have joyed this author’s books. This one felt a little rushed.  I do not wish to leave any spoilers. The story revolves around an inheritance contingent on three sons leaving their respective lives and moving back to the family ranch and an attraction between the hired help and oldest sibling, who has major inferiority problems.  It all works itself out in the end.  A good read, just needs a little fleshing out.

The Romeo Effect by Lila Monroe 5⭐️

An excellent read. Here we have all the twists and feels with a side of steam. Meet April who is looking for no one, just starting her fledgling business and Seth a romance manipulator. All this wraps into a fun, enjoyable, romantic read, with an added threat to bring in some drama.  Add this to your list (I know, that list is getting unmanageable. lol).

The Devil’s Ball Mysteries by Blair Babylon writing as Jessa Archer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a set of one short story and two books all happening at the Canterbury Golf Club. All are fun, enjoyable “who done its”.
The Mystery of The Missing Crystal Golf Ball
A seriously short, fun who-done-it. I knew how it was done, just wasn’t sure who until close to the end. Enjoyed this easy to read short. Go for it!
Murder At The Counry Club
A lot of golf related mystery and drama in this light hearted story. I know nothing about the game of golf, so much of the terminology was lost on me. I knew who the bad guy was from the beginning and enjoyed the game of pinning the crime on the correct individual(s). Enjoy this one.
A Murder At The Devil’s Ball
Another fun who done it, with our favorite retired school teacher and her mad professor side kick. Lots of sleuthing, golf terms and fun costumes in this one. It all works out in the end, with a fun time getting there. A good clean mystery with a twist of murder.

Feisty by Julia Kent 5⭐️S

This series is so much fun. This book is no exception and so far is my favorite. Chakras, vibrations and bears, oh, my!  Feisty and Fletch find their way to each other, in-spite of taco ratios. Have a good time with this read. No need to read the previous books, but they would add to the story. Top of your TBR list.

BLURB

The future isn’t real.

The past isn’t real, either.

Only the present is, solid and full, flying at our faces, our bodies, our hearts and souls at breakneck speed as we work to take it all in.

As we work to protect others.

And, finally - ourselves.

We’ve started to break the bonds of Stateless, a system as rotten as the one it seeks to destroy. But systems are organisms with one brutal goal: to survive, whatever it takes.

Kina has to do the unfathomable to save a different system, one she created out of empathy and love for children we rescued from the only home they know.

She’ll use her mind, her body, her spirit — and her ultimate weapons: love, and —

Me.

Fateless is the final book in USA Today bestselling author Meli Raine's newest trilogy.

The Stateless Trilogy also includes:
Stateless
Traceless

EXCERPT

“I love you,” I say, watching as his fingers halt, two buttons undone, a sprinkling of chest hair showing from his open shirt.

Smoldering eyes meet mine.

“You were going to say it when I came back, but you never did. I told you I loved you. Love you.” Boldness makes me confront this head on, the timing bizarrely perfect. In Stateless culture, clarity mattered. Emotion wasn't allowed, but being blunt and direct was prized.

Can we balance both?

“Do you need me to say it?”

“Only if you want to.”

“That's not an answer to my question.”

“No. I don't need you to. I want you to love me, though. That much I know.”

“Do you doubt it? That I love you?”

The Thief’s Gambit by Sarah Makela and Tavin Soren 4⭐️

This is in the paranormal genre. It was a fast paced read. Moved from the beginning supernatural occurrence, with a side of steam and romance, well the romance was a quick aside. A lot of action and a interesting read.

Fateless by Meli Raine 5⭐️
Man, this is one twisted story. As always Meli Raine, scooped us up and wrung us out to dry, with twists that are unexpected and heartbreaking. Yet still the questions linger. Will there be more?  Or is this the finale. Soooo good. Don’t miss this series. Top of your TBR list.

Ten Days Gone by Beverly Long 4⭐️‘S

A little slow in spots, but the story picked up and finished with a bang. A who-done-it, the story strays into the personal lives of the detectives. All in all, a good story, all though l figured the bad guy out almost from the beginning. Good read.

Stiff Drink by Blair Babylon audio narrated by John Lane 5⭐️

As always one of my favorite authors.  The audiobook narrator hits this straight on. Have both audio and hard copy. This is the first installment of Gen & Arthur's story.   Enjoyed this very much and am looking forward to the next. All these stories over lap the previous books in spots, so makes you want to go back and read in order. Good read.
