Cold Heat by Toni Anderson 5 stars

Fast paced, excellent read. One of my favorite part of these books is the cameos of Alex Parker, who was the first of my travels with Toni Anderson’s exciting, wonderful thrillers.  This book is filled with mystery, twisted leads, friends and evil. Daisy and Jordan are riddled with angst, trust issues and past drama, then thrown into the midst of a national crisis. Excellent story and a definite addition to your TBR list

Beach Thriller by Jamie Day

There is a lot happening in this newest book by Jamie Day, almost too much, I found myself a little confused in places. This is a busy but interesting read, with many subplots and unexpected connections. Throughly enjoyable, once the twists are revealed. Definitely an addition to your TBR list.

The Bookstore Diaries by Susan Mallery 5 Stars

Enjoyed this book. Much happening, but the characters were likable and loved Ramon. We did jump at the end forward a couple of yearss for the epilogue, but all is well. This is a definite addition to your TBR list.

An Heir to Blood And Power by Blair Babylon 5 stars

No author handles royal billionaire heirs like Blair Babylon. This series is no exception. The second book in this series has the the greedy evil nemesis spiraling around our main characters. Loved this newest slice and cannot wait for the next. These all tie in together so if you have not read An Heir to Blood and Power, grab it now and hang on for the ride. Excellent!

Where the Girls Were by Kate Schatz

And history repeats. This is a heart rending read and happened many times during my youth. We meet eleven young girls who must be “hidden” due to their “condition” and so the story goes. The youth of today, won’t appreciate what we had until it is gone and unfortunately it is going the way of the past. Most of these girls worst problems, besides the partner that helped put them in the untenable situation, are their own family and the system. This is an excellent window into the past and now our future. A definite reminder and good read. Add this to your TBR list.

Stolen in Death by J.D. Robb

Another outstanding whodunnit in the Eve and Roarke saga. My murder suspect was correct, however, there was an unexpected twist and this made the story even more intriguing. An old nemesis makes an appearance and Eve needs to pay attention to her surroundings. As always Eve is on track to take down all the bad guys. Put your feet up and enjoy

At Midnight Comes the Cry by Julia Spencer-Fleming

This is my first read for this author and enjoyed this suspenseful thriller very much. A lot happening in this, along with some very bad badguys. I enjoyed the interactions of the main characters, each having their own unique character and problems. Claire and Russ play off each other well and are a formidable team. There is much to unpack here and much of it current with today’s world views and events. Great read and addition to your TBR list.
